This statue has an interesting story behind it.

In the early 1990's, I operated my Art Studio in Sarasota, Florida, where I made historic statuary reproductions. There I met an Artist who was on his way

to a Buddhist Monastery to become a Monk.

He showed me an original wood carved Buddha which he had found during

his travels in Asia.  He was told the artifact was a 400 year old Cambodian Buddha.

He wanted a few reproductions of his original. In exchange I was able

to make a mold, and he granted me the rights to reproduce it.
